OK So I have #Littlefedi running in a #FreeBSD Bastille jail. I can now toot, DM and follow plus become followed. I do have a couple of issues like I followed a gotosocial account back that followed me and it failed constantly retrying for some reason? Also I tried to follow my #Snac account yet it sits at requested and no notification on snac. I'm sure with @stefano@mastodon.bsd.cafe help I'll iron these issues out in the coming week?
@justine make sure the two instances can talk each other. If they’re two jails in the same host, make sure to put in the /etc/hosts the correct resolution for the reverse proxy jail ip address. I’ve faced this many times with many other services: they try to communicate using the public ip addresses and they fail
@stefano@mastodon.bsd.cafe I think they can ish? I can post from Snac to littlefedi but if I send a DM to snac nothing.
@stefano@mastodon.bsd.cafe So if my nginx reverse proxy is 192.168.0.47 which /etc/hosts ? On both the snac jail and Littlefedi also how do I write it ? Could you give me an example line please and thank you?
